Such is the fulfilment of embodied life here: always to further the good of other beings through one’s life, resources, understanding, and words.
Original King of Dwarka translationReflection inspired by Srimad Bhagavatam 10.22.35
A tree offers shade without keeping an account. That scene gives the verse its setting: a life becomes generous through more than what it owns.
Source & context
After praising trees that shelter and sustain other beings, Krishna speaks to his cowherd companions. The verse names several forms of giving, not financial giving alone.
