Bhagavad Gita 18.66

Krishna to Arjuna
सर्वधर्मान्परित्यज्य मामेकं शरणं व्रज ।अहं त्वां सर्वपापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि मा शुचः ॥ ६६ ॥
Transliteration
sarva-dharmān parityajyamām ekaṃ śaraṇaṃ vrajaahaṃ tvāṃ sarva-pāpebhyomokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ

Relinquishing all dharmas, take refuge in me alone. I will free you from all sin. Do not grieve.

Original King of Dwarka translation

Reflection inspired by Bhagavad Gita 18.66

The last word need not be our own ability to make ourselves secure. Here Krishna speaks in the language of refuge and release. Surrender names a relationship of trust, where fear and remorse may be brought into the open instead of carried in isolation.

Source & context

Near the dialogue’s close, Krishna calls Arjuna to take refuge in him alone. Interpretations of relinquishing all dharmas vary among traditions; it should not be isolated as permission to neglect care or ethical responsibility. The retained reading tvāṃ, “you”, is an attested variant of tvā.
