tadviddhi praṇipātena paripraśnena sevayāupadekṣyanti te jñānaṃ jñāninastattvadarśinaḥ

Come to understand this through reverence, searching questions, and service. Those who know, who have seen reality, will teach you knowledge.

Original King of Dwarka translation

Reflection inspired by Bhagavad Gita 4.34

Learning can require both humility and a question we have not yet found the courage to voice. Here, respect does not close the conversation. It gives careful inquiry a place to begin, alongside the willingness to listen and to serve.

Source & context

Krishna explains how liberating knowledge is approached: through reverence, searching inquiry and service to those who have seen reality. The instruction includes questioning; it does not ask for unquestioning obedience.
