A little time, together
Wonder grows
when it is shared.
A story can begin with a listening child. A picture can begin a conversation. A quiet page can become something entirely their own.
Little Krishna brings reading, art and discovery into one unhurried journey. Follow a story, notice its details, then take up a pencil or sit together with a question.
For children approximately 5–10 years old, with family participation warmly encouraged. No scores, grades or race to finish.
A few pages to explore
Begin with
a closer look.
Selected pages offer a sense of the story, artwork and activities. Each preview preserves the complete page.
Come a little closer.
Morning in Gokul
A little closer
A page for your colors
A welcome in the details
Names to return to
A garden of things you noticed
Keep wondering.What children discover
A familiar name.
A world opening.
From the warmth of home to the shelter of a mountain, the journey makes room for friendship, care, courage and curiosity.
A world to enter
Gokul and Vrindavan: home, village paths, trees, riverbanks and the people who care for Krishna.
Stories to remember
Yashoda, butter, friends and cows; the music of the flute; courage, shelter and the wonder of Govardhan.
Details to notice
Look closely, follow a path, find a pattern and discover how a picture can hold more than one story.
Something of your own
Color, draw, imagine and return to a favourite page. There is room for a child’s own way of seeing.
Inside the book
Read a little.
Look closer.
Make it your own.
Stories and activities belong to the same unfolding world. Each return brings a different way to take part.
77 considered pages, with room for reading, coloring and discovery.
- Learn
Enter the story
Short, carefully framed readings introduce Krishna’s early world. Read aloud together, or let a confident reader lead.
- Color
Spend time with the picture
Clear line art leaves the color to the child. Some pages invite small details; others leave a more open field.
- Explore
Follow a new question
Observation, paths, patterns, drawing and story sequences offer varied ways to think and create.
- Together
Leave room for a conversation
Optional family prompts invite a shared memory, a closer look or one more question. Listening matters more than finding a perfect answer.
Two editions, one journey
At home on a screen.

For parents & caregivers
Sit beside.
Let curiosity lead.
You do not need to become a teacher to share this book. Read a page, notice what draws your child’s attention and allow a story or a picture to take its time.
Younger children may welcome a voice reading beside them. Older children may want to follow a puzzle independently or return to a drawing later. Both belong here.
The accompanying guide supports an unhurried approach: invite, listen and encourage. Activities are invitations, never tests.
A story held with care
Room for wonder.
Respect for the source.
The stories draw on Krishna’s childhood traditions, with source references retained in the reading notes. Retellings are written for children; activities and family questions are original King of Dwarka editorial material.
Episodes involving danger are approached gently. Kaliya centres on restored safety; Govardhan centres on shelter and community. Frightening detail is not the focus.
Scriptural material and modern creative prompts remain distinct. Sanskrit names are introduced sparingly and respectfully, rather than used as coloring material.
